The set was complete and it came in days, so fast.

This is definately a beginners electric guitar. That being said, it is an excellent beginners electric guitar. It's thick and heavy and sounds pretty good, considering the price. It truly has everything you need to get playing immediately. There are picks, a tuner, and even a small amp. I love that the tag for the guitar had some beginner chords on it so that a player can start learning right away. I also love that the manual explains how to tweak the guitar so it sounds good and in tune. There are other small items included as well: two allen wrenches for adjusting the truss rod and string guides, a strap, a wammy bar, and an extra set of strings. This is really a complete kit. The amp runs on on a 9V battery only, from what I can tell. There are loops on the amp for a strap so you can carry it around while you play, kind of like the Pig Nose amps of old. This is a totally portable system! I think for what you get, this is a great deal.

Really nice started guitar. The amp is small but very loud and clear. It’s a great buy overall.

This guitar is gorgeous! It comes with its own amp, the amp connector plug, clip on tuner, capo, extra set of guitar strings, a strap, picks, a whammy bar, and an allen key. It also has its own carry bag with handles.
The amp really projects the sound of the guitar beautifully, and it doesn't even need to be on max volume. It may only be five amps, but it puts out an excellent level of sound. The tuner clips right to the neck of the guitar. It has a clear digital display that lets you know which note is being played by each string, so that you can adjust your strings to play your intended note. The capo attaches easily, and helps to raise the pitch. The allen key is for adjusting the curvature of the neck of the guitar. The carry bag is more for taking it with you, and keeping it from acquiring dust. It's not padded, so it doesn't protect the guitar from any sort of physical damage, such as being dropped, hit up against something, or moisture of any kind. It also comes with a polishing cloth to maintain its glossy look by removing fingerprints, and such from the surface.
The guitar itself has control knobs for both the volume and tone of the sound. I'm really impressed with this guitar, and all of its included accessories. This electric guitar is excellent for beginners, and advanced players alike.

I’m just a starter on electric guitars, but I’d say it’s a good beginner guitar. There were not really any problems, and looked great. I enjoy playing it. And, I'm pretty sure at a regular guitar center or music store, these types of things would be more expensive, so I think this is a great go-to guitar if you want to try it out

I got this DST-80 electric guitar from Donner for my 13-year old son. He's been learning acoustic guitar and wanted to try out electric. I thought this would be a good intro guitar for him.
I had his guitar teacher help us give this a look, so most of this feedback is from him. Overall, he was pleasantly surprised. Most beginner kits are poorly made, but this is actually a decent guitar for a beginner.
The guitar body is surprisingly dense and heavy. While many cheap guitars have sharp edges of the frets, these are all smooth. It took a little while to get it to stay in tune, but it's been fine with that once it adjusted.
They include a decent set of materials for a beginner. The extra set of strings is really nice and helpful. The tuner does okay. It's nice and small.
It shouldn't be a surprise that for a kit like this to be in this price range, there are a few cut corners. The amp is mediocre and runs on a 9-volt battery--having a wall adapter would have been nice. The strap works but is really on the cheap side. The bag isn't padded. It's fine for storage or careful transit but isn't like a padded gig bag. The bridge pickup isn't very good at all. Thankfully the others are decent.
There are a few things that could be limiting as your player advances. The frets could use a little smoothing to help with sliding the strings and the back of the neck doesn't glide as smoothly as it could. With a little work those could be improved.
My son is really pleased with this and is making good progress in learning to play. For the price, this is a good kit for a beginner.

The Donner electric guitar is like a welcome mat to the world of guitar playing. It is a decent option for beginners who want to hit the ground running. What immediately stood out to me is the package. It’s not just a guitar; it’s an entire starter kit. From a tuner and amplifier to a capo and even spare strings, Donner thought of everything. It’s perfect for someone who doesn’t want the hassle of figuring out all the extra gear they’ll need to get started.
The guitar itself is sleek and visually appealing, with a design that makes me want to pick it up and play. The quality is surprisingly decent for an entry-level instrument, and while it won’t blow away seasoned players, it’s more than enough for a beginner to practice and explore their style. The sound quality is acceptable, not mind-blowing but definitely solid for the cost. The tuner in the package is a handy little tool to keep everything in tune, which is a must for any new player.
A bonus I appreciated was the inclusion of spare strings. It’s a thoughtful addition, especially for beginners who might break a string (or two) while learning. That said, the amplifier is the one letdown for me. It works, but it doesn’t do the guitar justice. If you’re serious about sound, I’d recommend investing in a better amp once you get the hang of things.
While this guitar isn’t going to compete with mid- to high-end models, it’s not trying to. It’s all about giving beginners a smooth and affordable entry into the guitar-playing world, and it does that beautifully. If anyone just starting out and looking for something that delivers good value and a complete package, this guitar will be a decent choice.

The DONNER DST-80 Electric Guitar kit is perfect for my needs. I am interested in learning the guitar, but don't want to invest a lot money in a guitar and accessories in case it doesn't work out for me. The shipping container was well thought out and protective of the guitar. The Sunburst finish on the guitar looks great and the design matches a very popular name brand guitar. The included digital turner was an absolute necessity for me to tune the guitar. The mini amp provides good sound quality and the volume is appropriate for listening to the sound while playing. My only issue with the guitar was some of the frets edges were sharp. A couple of strokes with a file fixed the problem. I am very happy with the DONNER DST-80 kit and recommend it.
