I don’t have a lot of experience with mixers, nor am I an expert in electronics, but here’s a few things I’ve found with the DAM1000…- Metal chassis…feels very solid and will stand up to weekly wear and tear.- Smooth-operating knobs. Just the right amount of friction to turn them.- Locking power cord to prevent inadvertently losing power to the unit.- Flawless Bluetooth connection.- 24 FX settings with a “strength” knob to adjust the effects.- Picked this up on sale for $197 which made it a really great deal.

Good product. I'm on Version 1.0 of the mixer, so they hopefully will bring some changes in the future. Here is the Mixer (the > GOOD < side):1- All metal chassis2- Noise free Pots3- All Pots are close to each other when comes to the "force" you need to apply to make them turn4- Line 5/6 and 7/8, each have a gain Pot. Witch is omitted on a "cheap" mixer5- Power supply has a > screw < on the mixer chassis. The plug won't come out if inadvertently " hit ". This is good because other companies have decided to remove the extra cost. Not here6- The Preamps: They sound very good. They sound like they are totally transparent. Like their not there. If you ask me, that's what a preamp should sound like7- The Compressors: It has 4 Compressors. Usually companies put 2 Compressors8- Phantom Power: Usually in this small mixers, companies cut costs by putting 1 or 2 switches. Donner put 4 INDEPENDENT switchesThe Mixer (the > BAD < side):9- The Sound FX: It sounds good, but the FX are not very " stretchy ". And there's no Tap-Tempo to automatically set the tempo manually10- Slippery Knobs: Knobs are slippery (thank you very much, thank you). They have taken the Mackie pots and copied them (or at least they look the same). That means that they are > slippery <.If Donner decides to > improve < the design (i.e. doesn't slip), you should think about changing the Slippery Knobs™ for another...11- Square Knobs: I was looking at a video and the gentleman was talking about the Bluetooth acting up. I think I may have a solution. Here it is:- Make sure your ALWAYS > OFF < to start- START: Press the Bluetooth button very > FAST < (around 1/4 second) then let it go. The button should be > LIT UP < now- To turn OFF now: Press the Bluetooth button very > SLOWLY <, keep the button pressed until you see it > DISAPPEAR < nowThat's all...CONCLUSION: Is a Donner DAM-1000 mixer a buy instead of a Mackie ProFX10v3+ ?It depends. At the FULL price, I don't think so. Mackie has a solid reputation, it uses name brand parts, has been on the road for ages, etc., etc..Dooner, as far as I know, its not as rugged as Mackie, it's has weird parts, I have no idea how long it will last, etc., etc.Bottom line, I think, the Donner should sell at 30% LESS (MINIMUM) compared to Mackie. Then after that if it doesn't show anything odd and that everything is A-1 then, I think, prices should go up.C'est ce que je pense ...

I like this compact mixer for my home recording. It has 4 XLR inputs with compressors and 3 stereo inputs, and the total is 10 channels. I think it is enough for small live performances, but I think this is actually much more practical for home recording or live streaming, as it accepts multiple stereo sources.I didn't notice any background noise from the main outputs, and the built-in effector and all controls worked very well. Bluetooth pairing was extremely easy, and the overall operation was highly intuitive. Please note that this mixer uses rotary knobs instead of linear faders for output level. This design can make the footprint small but at the same time it might be somewhat difficult to intuitively adjust the current mix levels. When the headphone output is isolated from the main fader level, the output volume was quite loud, and it was a bit tricky to make fine volume adjustments when I was using low-impedance headphones. This mixer can connect to PC through USB-C port, but I experienced severe background noise when outputting the master channel to the PC. As a result, I could not use it as a substitute for a dedicated audio interface.
