My son is a beginner and he really likes it.He has an 88 keys keyboard in his room but he likes this one a lot. He said it felt like a "real piano".This is a gift for Christmas. Also, when i put an order,I forgot to enter the discount code for a $100 off. I emailed the store and they were kind enough to give me the discount through giving me a refund. Very good customer service. Now,I hope it will last for years.

This is a wonderful gift for son, he loved it, and is playing it almost everyday.

It is a good instrument to learn

Purchased this for my son who was turning 6 years old. He absolutely loves the piano. This was so worth the money. He is attached to the piano and was so excited to start piano lessons.

I am an intermediate level piano player and this has got to be the best digital piano I got a hold of. The sound quality is great, and I love how I can hook up my keyboard to my computer to compose.

I wanted a fully weighted midi controller that was affordable. I just received it and set it up. Will hopefully add more info later. OVERVIEW Affordable 88 weighted keys Has a screen (small) Putting together was easy. Average speakers and sound. Great price point for what you get DETAILS On sale with the "piano" look made it cheaper than buying just the keyboard and a separate stand. Took my daughter and I 15 minutes to assemble the pieces, maybe. Used my drill to mostly put it together and then a screwdriver to tighten enough but not too much. Sounds on it are fine. Nothing great. But typical for such an instrument. I bought it for midi ultimately so it's built in sounds don't matter to me. But I am glad it has its own speakers and some decent sounds. It doesn't have a bunch of great assignable buttons or sliders for midi (I bought a Korg nanoKONTROL2 MIDI Control). I'll be using a Mac and Mainstage. The screen is small. So compared to other screens it's a weakness. But at this price point you can look at it and be thankful it has a screen. No scroll wheel for navigation is a negative. The built in piano stand version comes with three footpedals which is nice, but I have yet to meet a piano player in the last decade that cares about two of those pedals. Volume control is normal. Speakers are plenty loud for practice at home or group of 20 people singing with you. Sounds a bit better through a sound system and good speakers. Right now the sound comes thru its own speakers and the system speakers. Haven't researched yet, but there may be a setting to change it. I know my piano players will appreciate the built in speakers being in when plugged in. Keys are nicely weighted - good enough for 90% or more of all piano players. They aren't fancy and don't feel as much like the real thing as some keyboards. Shouldn't bother most people. It used to be that fully weighted midi controller keyboards didn't exist. So at this price point, I think it's a good deal. Power chord isn't long. Music stand is average. Same height as the traditional piano it replaced. The keys alone looked slightly longer than 88 piano keys - but close. A piano student could use this for years and it would be more than adequate. Even with the stand, it doesn't weigh much. Why only 4 stars? At its price point I could give it 5 stars. But too many little things could be better. I hope to review this in a few months.

The weighted keys are nice, the sound is fine and there are lots of different instrument sounds. I'm relearning to play again. I am happy with this keyboard.

I love the piano. It has an authentic touch and sounds real. However, I have been having issues with the display screen freezing after playing a few demo songs. I've been in contact with Tech Support for about three weeks, but have not heard from them in seven days. They promised a solution to the issue within 24-48 hours. Perhaps I should return the keyboard before 30 days have elapsed and order a new replacement.

This is a great Keyboard!

This piano is by far the best bang for your buck that you can hope to get. The keys are fully weighted and feel just as good as a traditional piano. The sensitivity of the keys is also great. Most important in a digital piano is the sound. The sound is crisp and pure and really sounds very close to that of a traditional piano. I'm very happy with my purchase. This piano will allow me to continue playing while I am away at medical school.

Good price and good beginner training piano. Keys are a bit too stiff, polyphony is low for the intermediate player and playing fast music has a synthetic sound. Slower music has a good sound. Traded it for the Yamaha P125 which was more expensive

Easy to assemble, it seems very sturdy, it took about 15 minutes to assemble. It's a great keyboard for my 7 year old beginning piano player.

Overall, its good for what I need as a beginner. Sound quality is good, but sometimes the tone seems just a bit off. Some keys seem to be a bit clunkier than others. Could be my mediocre skills but sometimes they don't react the same as the others. I did a lot of research before purchasing, and I'm still confident that this is the best available at this price point. But its not perfect.

This keyboard is perfect for a beginner. The sound quality is perfects aswell. Do defenetrly get a stand for it..

Easy to set up, fast shipping, and a great product. The keys are fully weighted, the sound is excellent, it feels and sounds like a piano.

I needed something to take my mind off the pandemic and I think I found it. Some day I may be able to play a tune fir you.

like many folks this past year I decided to teach myself Piano, since we couldn't go out. Looked at many youtube and other reviews on the internet. On avg this keyboard recieved the best recommendations for a cost effective beginner keyboard. I've been using this now for around 10 months. Not having played before I don't have anything to compare it to. It has held up well with not signs of deterioration. it is easy to operate with many more functions than I know how to use. Instead of paying another $100 for the stand I built my own out of old pallet. One thing I found was that since this is pretty thick compared to other keyboards I have seen on line, when you position the keys to the recommended height, it becomes a tight fit for getting your legs under the keyboard. the sound of the grand piano isn't that good to me. again being a beginner not an issue at this time as the way I'm playing nothing is sounding that good. ;^) the pedal works well and I use a midi adaptor to hook it up to my Ipad to use online learning apps. It doesn't have bluetooth, so I use an external bluetooth adapter to connect to wireless earbuds. I had to get a large audio adaptor to fit the output jack. Overall I'm happy.

Love this keyboard. Feels and sounds just like a full piano. Super enjoyable to play! The stand it comes with is of poor quality and a pain to assemble. Live the keyboard but would skip the optional stand. Shipping box was very sturdy with no damage and very quickly. Overall, would gladly purchase again.

Perfect for our beginner. Weighted keys feel like a full size piano. We have only had it a month I will update after a year. I would highly recommend.

I received my first Donner DDP-300 digital piano, my husband and I assembled it, and I turned it on and played it for a sort while. I turned it off. A couple of hours later it would not turn on. I tried many times to no avail. I sent Donner an email and also joined the Donner Vine Facebook group and posted my problem there. It took about 24 hours but Donner did respond, suggesting that I try a different power adapter. I ordered one and had to wait a couple of days for it to arrive. It didn't solve the problem. I messaged Donner again and the following day they replied that they were sending me a new piano. This was a very pleasant surprise! They also said that they didn't want me to send the defective piano back as it would not be cost-effective for them. The new piano arrived in about 4 days. As the original piano was already set up, we simply removed the defective keyboard body and installed the new one. I am pleased to report that it works and I love it. It has beautiful sound, the keys are fully weighted, the keyboard cover is an added bonus, and the piano is a very attractive piece of furniture. The Donner company was totally responsive to my needs. I am impressed. The only downside was that because they are on Bejing, there was about a 24 hour delay in their communications to me. They also don't have phone tech support.
My story had a happy ending.

Dont know what experience others had but the first thing I checked, all keys are fine! Shipping was fast and it was all easy to setup.

I love this piano. The weight is graded and it feels like Im playing a real piano. Ive only been playing for about 5 years and needed a little quality upgrade. The grand piano mode sounds very accurate, just all around a good keyboard. I have minimal space underneath a loft bed and this full size piano fits perfectly. Great for smaller spaces.

My son loves this piano. I was hesitant since I'd never heard of the brand, but went ahead a purchased. Glad I did. Great piano for the money. You will not be disappointed.

This digital piano was a Christmas gift to me from my daughters and I love it! At my age (80) it is hard to buy for me. I am learning to play and really enjoying the music. Im sure everyone in the family will have fun with it!

I'm very happy with my purchase. Very nice keyboard for the price, with realistic key weights. The only downside is that the speakers aren't very good. If you want higher quality sounds, you can plug your headphones in.
MsPhancypants
This electric piano has a good sound and feel. I'm happy with it.

Exactly what I wanted. We added studio headphones for those practice sessions. Very good quality and sound. Delivery and packaging was adequate. Happy customer I am.

Well made. Affordable. Nice Sound.

This keyboard has helped me immensely! I am a beginner. There was so much I could not learn without weighted keys.
The sound is great! I highly suggest this for beginners! I do not see a time I will ever need more than this keyboard.
Chris Spaugh
Excellent sound quality. This sounds like a piano and weighted keys feel like one as well. There are other settings to play around with for different sounds which make this keyboard an even better option for a musician looking for variety of sound options for songs. Very pleased with this item and recommend!

Affordable, fast delivery and flawless! Absolutely love this piano for my beginner piano player!

Wanted a digital piano/keyboard since they take up less space than a conventional piano I used to have. Found the Donner DEP-20 digital piano online and researched its features as well as reviews. It had great reviews, and features I wanted such as weighted keys and different sounds/rhythms. Sound is fabulous. I've had a lot of compliments on it. Also great price and fast shipping. Highly recommend.

This keyboard is great. The weighted keys feel like a piano. You get the pedals, stand, and keyboard with weighted keys. It costs a little more than other keyboards that don’t come with all of that, but it’s a great value. Competitors charge more for all those product features. Highly recommended.
Alexander Martis
I'm a beginner piano player and the Donner DEP-20 will not disappoint you. Its key action is what you should expect from a traditional piano. Of course it has some bells and whistles on it (figuratively and literally). Because I'm still on the learning curve I still use it like a traditional piano. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

Great piano! Totally worth it! It’s sleek and easy to assemble as long as you read the directions and can follow the steps...took about an hour not hard at all! The keys are weighted feels like a real upright piano. I don’t have any complaints:)
Jordan Arsenault
I used to play piano when I was younger, but eventually stopped and picked up playing guitar a few years later, so I’m not a complete beginner to music. That said, this piano is excellent, especially for the price. It has great action, and the weighting is scaled across the keys, so it feels similar to a traditional acoustic piano. Most of the built in sounds are exceptional, but the strings sound a bit flat and lack dimension, to me, at least. The price might seem a bit high if you’re just starting out, but you won’t find a better digital piano at this price. Between being full sized and the action/weight of the keys, this is a piano you can grow with as you get better at playing.
Nancy White
I upgraded to this piano from the Donner semi-weighted key version. The sound quality on this fully-weighted version is as good as any piano I’ve ever played! Some of the chord features may be helpful to beginners. That is the only reason this wonderful instrument should be called a beginners piano. Full sound and feel of an acoustical.
Vihaan Karthik
We bought this for our 6 year old kid. He's been loving it so far. His instructor mentioned this piece of piano is apt for beginner since the weighted keys are playing nice in mimicking the acoustic piano experience one of the key feature for developing piano playing skills, and having a pedals for this price is really cool. Length of the piano is pretty reachable for my kid. I like the dimensions of this piano takes very less space. Amazing sound quality.
I wish the fastening slots in the wooden board are a bit stronger that’s the only drawback I could see. Nevertheless, the piano is worth the money I paid and I would happily recommend this product.
Sunnee Day
Very nice keyboard for the price. I have been playing piano for years and needed a lighter weight keyboard I could move. This one is very easy to transport. Great selection of voices and features. It would be good for a beginner up to advanced player. The keys have a heavy weight to them (heavier than Yamaha keyboards) so it takes a little more pressure than a regular piano but that is great for strengthening your fingers and you get used to it quickly. Fun to play and nice sound. Overall I would recommend buying it.

What a pleasant surprise. Though quite inexpensive and a brand with which I was completely unfamiliar, the Donner 88-key electric piano is a real winner. My wife plays it a lot and has nothing but praise for the feel of the keys. The stand and keyboard are integrated into one unit, but the keyboard could be used without the stand by removing four bolts. The music stand is very functional.
Kate W.
Ordered the Donner Dep 20 for my daughter who is beginning piano lessons. The customer service was very good and responsive, the keyboard arrived quickly, set up of the stand was easy and the sound, appearance and usability of the keyboard all met or exceeded my expectations. I’m very happy with the keyboard we got and the price we paid for it.

You get the grand piano feel without the heaviness and bulkiness! My 8 year old needed the 88 keys version and we needed a piano that was inexpensive, looked sleek, and still gave her the experience of playing an actual piano. On days where we are in the same room, she can just hook up her headphones and her playing would not bother us. She can also record herself playing. It’s perfect!!

My daughter recently started taking piano lessons. We have two other pianos in our house: one traditional but very old upright and one baby grand piano. We ordered this one because it had some additional features and we also wanted to strongly encourage her interest in piano and this little machine has done just that. In fact, she has insisted several times on doing remote lessons with her teacher because she likes this piano so much more. Check out my video to get a sample of some of the features, of course my little girl has figured them all out faster than me. This piano can make the sounds of other instruments and my little girl's personal favorite is the replay feature with the drums.

Purchased 8 months ago, came with a sustain pedal (donner brand). They keyboard works amazing. Love it. Played almost daily. Would buy again. Had to return several previous keyboards (other brands), or buy a new one after a year. But this one is great, no issues. Love the weighted keys. Perfect piano. Not beginners, but not pros either. Still very happy with the piano. Now the sustain pedal that came in the bundle with our's stopped working after 3-4 months. I waited till we'd had the keyboard for a while to leave our review. Now you can get it with a wooden stand, not that cheap metal one, everyone complained about. Wish that had been an option when we purchased it.

All it all, it is a terrific option for someone looking for a good value in a starter keyboard for piano practice. Given its reasonable cost, hopefully it makes learning (and continuing) to play piano accessible for more people.
Devyn Janousek
I will start this by saying, I am by no means a pro piano player. I am a beginner...a beginner beginner, like brand new aside from learning one half of 2 songs like 15 years ago and never touching one since. But I set this up about a week ago and have messed around with it a bit and it sounds great to me! I gave it 4 stars since it obviously isn't going to be top tier quality at such a great price, but it is a solid option for beginners like me or parents wanting to get a starter piano for their kids to learn on which I plan to also allow mine to learn on it for music class as part of our homeschooling curriculum. Also, just a note, it wasn't as heavy as I thought it was going to be once put together but the box it comes in is big obviously and a bit heavy so if you're putting it upstairs like I did then you may want to take the pieces out and carry them up there individually since carrying up the box might be a little difficult and awkward especially for only one person.
