Just a suggestion, more packing! my guitar seems to have taken a one week detour (FED EX) to get here and the packing was all messed up, the small cardboard box to protect head stock was flat. suprised it is still playable

The color is darker than I expected, there were no instructions re the operation of the coil split function and playing C or a G chord the lower E string will fall right off the neck as per video. So overall a little disappointed.

The guitar is fantastic, and the chorus pedal provides the perfect signal boost I needed. I absolutely love the beautiful sound it produces. However, one thing I noticed on the guitar is that the cutaway is a bit too small even for a medium hand, making it uncomfortable to reach the last 4 frets on the neck. But, I love the guitar. Thank you Donner, higher quality.

The es335 needed a setup to fix the intonation upon delivery. I am enjoying the guitar so far. Really like the tones that come out of it. I can recommend it as a budget guitar that is good enough for professional playing.

Very dusty out of the box . Quite a bit of set up needed. One tone control and one volume knob were loose.
Once all that was done it plays beautifully. Very happy with the end result. You guys might want to spend a little more time in quality control.

I received my DJP 1000 335 style black guitar on time and without any damaged. Had it checked by a local luthier and there was nothing that needed to be done it. I 'm taking guitar lessons and really enjoy playing it. She's a beauty.

Love the guitar but the packaging was damaged (most likely by the delivery company) and I did not receive the patch cord. The guitar was undamaged and was set up extremely well with no issues or defects right out of the box. Extremely good value for the money.

Considering the price of this guitar, I am very impressed with the quality of the workmanship.
After stretching the strings and tuning it, I checked the intonation and was very surprised to find it needed no adjustment.
The fit and finish are top-notch except for the fret ends needing some work. I am not being critical when I say this as otherwise I could not find any other faults.
I am enjoying getting used to playing this beautiful instrument. I want to Thank Donner for providing this model of a 335-style guitar, which I have wanted but could not afford before!

We have purchased the cyclops, the hush1, the arena2000, the exquisite jazz1000 and most recently the DLP124. All in the last year. Your products are quality well beyond there price. However, last week we received the DLP through Amazon and realized the patch cord is cheaper than the one showed and more seriously the frets were dangerously sharp and no way should of been sold this way after inspection. All of the other guitars especially the hush have fantastic fret work. I have dressed the fret ends already. Hopefully this information will be useful. Thanks, still loving and recommending your products.

This was the second DJP-1000 I purchased. The first, a black one, I purchased from a third party reseller on Amazon because Donner had none left. Unfortunately, it appears the black guitar had a known defect which someone tried to fix by making several "screwy" adjustments. I was surprised, since many YouTube reviewers said the their units arrived almost perfect out of the box. Eventually, I received a full refund through the intervention of Donner. I promptly took the refund and purchased this red DJP-1000 directly from Donner--their last one at the time. It arrived much as described by the YouTubers--almost perfect. It just needed to be tuned and a couple of strings needed a very slight intonation adjustment--that's it! It plays well, sounds great and looks dazzling! Because I have some finger issues, I decided to restring it with some lighter Ernie Ball strings. No problems. Minor intonation adjustment to a couple of strings, and it is playing still playing just as smoothly. Great guitar...no wonder they can't keep them in stock anywhere in the world! (Yes, I checked for fun.) I also have a Donner DST-152 Stratocaster style which is also great.

guitar was better than i thought it would be. sounds just fine and the split coil pickups were a great surprise. only drawback i found was that the neck was a little thick but only a shade too big.

I was shopping for an ES335 style guitar and found the Donner Jazz guitar for a very reasonable price. I am absolutely shocked at how well this guitar plays right out of the box. The coil tap function is a nice touch and I do like the flexibility of different tones resulting from playing around with the coil tap and the pick up selector. I am very pleased with my purchase.

As a gigging musician, and a luthier, I have owned and played quite a few guitars and built a good number of acoustic guitars so I have a clue about guitars. My gloss black Donner Jazz feels great to play. It sounds great through my tube amp. . All I’ve done so far is set the truss rod adjustment, checked intonation and action and put on new strings. Love playing this guitar and it looks fantastic. Craftsmanship is commendable. A decent and affordable guitar.

Not much to say, only for those guitar players who have a tendency to over look "Cheep" guitars: THIS ONE IS NOT CHEEP GUITAR, IT IS INEXPENSIVE AND VERY GOOD GUITAR. It does not just look great, it plays great. I have seven other guitars and one of them is Ibanez Jazz guitar which I love and all I can say here is that my new Donner Jazz guitar is definitely my NEW NUMBER ONE guitar. And also: I didn't have to touch anything. The neck and frets are so smooth (No filing edges needed.) THANK YOU DOONER PEOPLE!!!

I have all three of your DJP 1000 guitars and am very pleased with the overall construction and sound they produce, however the one problem they have is the neck strap button is on the neck itself and it is difficult to attach a strap , and it could work loose . My suggestion is to move it 1-1/4 inches onto the body. Other than that , these are very well made and look and sound wonderful ,, well done ,, and my Tele style is great as well , Thanks,,, Ernie

I have Gibson's Fender's and other high-end guitars, and this plays just as equal as any one of the high-dollar ones.. The guitar was a great purchase, and I would buy it again. Unfortunately, the tone knobs didn’t sound like their adjustment did anything. I wrote to customer service and asked what could be my issue…no response. I wrote again and asked for some wiring diagrams, so I could replace the knobs with a better brand…again no response. After replacing the pots, humbuckers and guitar jack, it’s a MUCH better guitar and I would now value in the $800 range. Sound, tone and pickups are now very nice.

It’s EXTREMELY well made you tell they care a ton about there craftsmanship. The sound this guitar produces is amazing. My small and ONLY complaint is this guitar did not come with an instruction manual for how the knobs work, or what they do. This is my first semi hollow body guitar and it would have been nice to have a guid on how to use the electronics. But never the less I’m extremely satisfied with this guitar.

I already own a true Gibson 335, this is a beautiful replica of thev335! But the important parts are not the same . It is a beautiful guitar and well worth the money .
You can improve the electronics and the frets as you grow as a player a beginner will love the Ax!

Impressive for de budget! It sound very great, the touch is very good. I was scared to ordered online and get a guitar shiped by a carrier but, everytings go well and I'm very satisfy of the product. If you are on a budget and want a semi-hollow guitar, well I don't think you can get a better choice. It look amazing on my wall with my other 8 guitars! :o)

I like to keep the stickers and pick guard plastic for a few months before removing them.(personal preference) Also, please forgive hearing the sound of the strings. I don’t like when it gets picked up by the mic, but I couldn’t play as loud as I wanted to at the time.
The first thing you’ll notice about this guitar is that it’s gorgeous. I love the cherry color/trim combo. My pictures don’t do it justice, neither do the advertised pics in my opinion. It’s beautiful in person.
I play all my guitar tones through my PC with a game called rocksmith 2014. I used to have more feedback/PC lag on my old guitar, but it’s significantly reduced on this Donner.
I like to stick to one guitar if possible to play as many styles as possible. I was thinking this one may not be the type to handle overdriven/heavy metal playing, but I was wrong. It sounds amazing on everything I’ve played with it. Absolutely versatile.
It’s cheaper in price than the name brands, but performs just as well.
My only quip with this guitar was its ability to hold a tune. However, I’ve noticed it getting better the more I’ve been playing and retuning it. It’s totally manageable now and doesn’t lose a tune while playing it, just after I’ve hung it for the day and return the next. As I write this review though, it hasn’t lost its tune and I haven’t played it for 2 days so that’s great!
Overall, this is a great option for any guitar player. You get versatility along with that beautiful look. It’s lightweight and can be played for hours without discomfort. I would recommend this guitar by Donner. It’s going to be my main one for years to come

The finish is really good, the neck size is big compared to what I'm used to but it's fine and comfortable. I had to perform a little setup and it plays great. The bridge pickup is really nice the neck one is ok, I might have to play with its height. The fret work is fine, they could be polished a little more. I don't think they are medium -jumbo as the specs are saying for me they are medium. The pots will have to go, the taper is not great but this was expected. All in all not a bad buy.

I loved it. It has the perfect tone I was looking for to play some blues. The settings give you a bunch of options and tone changes are excellent. I have played it for a few weeks now and it has kept its tunning even though I use lots of blending. The design and colours are beautiful, it is light and having tone and volume for each humbucker is perfect. I'm now very curious into other models from Donner as with those prices you can't go wrong.

Only really played acoustic so this was the perfect next step. No experience on how it should sound next to more expensive ones but really like this guitar. It comes with a better cable than my rubber ones a nice guitar strap and a really good padded bag, it's not just a guitar cover it has some protection. Set up was easy, tuned it in and played. and it sounds great. Well done Donner.

Easy to play and the wider neck is a godsend for beginners. It stays in tune remarkably well and sounds beautiful. The finish is excellent with no flaws whatsoever. I keep saying no more guitars but then I spotted this and I am very happy I got one but tbh I had preferred it in another colour but this sunburnt skin is totally fine. The guitar is excelle. I recommend this warmly to anyone starting out. Its cheap and very good value for money. I would say that stupidly expensive guitars are just like overkill, for anyone .. Its basically like selling uhd videos that no one can see on their ordinary monitors.. This seriously is a serious piece of kit you will go long with this guitar. Just buy it, the only thing I personally regret is not getting it a lot earlier!
