It would be 5 star, if the frets weren't sharp - if the product was 'complete' - me and my son had to file down the frets as it was cutting his skin - then when I looked back at other reviews, others have said the same thing. Musician all my life, I have bought too many guitars to count, and I like this guitar for the price, the amp, the accessories, and I am a youtube personality - so my backing... oh well - you have to fix that, your product should not have sharp objects all along the neck where young people like my 15 yr old will slowly cut their skin.

When the guitar was delivered we check to see if everything was there and it was . It is for my daughters birthday and she was very excited to see it. She loves the colour. Can’t wait to try it out. Only problem is someone to teach her the cords online that isn’ t going to cost a fortune. Thanks for everything had a great experience with our order. We will tell friends.

Absolutely love the guitar , only thing is if you buy the kit with the pedal , first there is no adapter to plug the pedal and and second THIS IS NOT A LOOP PEDAL . Also , the amp works great but the sound quality isn’t the best so I’d suggest looking into other amps:) Other than that , the kit is amazing :)

Amazing quality. We purchased a whole guitar kit for our daughter for Christmas. It was so easy this way, super affordable, shipped really fast right to our door. The mini amp is great for a beginner. At first, I thought it wasn't working. As I'm a total beginner, I turned all the buttons on the guitar to the max and then finally heard some distortion. Great product as a whole.

This was a great starting kit for my granddaughter. She loves it. The quality of the guitar is very good for the price. I only had to do some minor adjustments on the setup. Other than that, it is surprisingly a nice starter kit. The only additional items you might need to purchase would be a guitar stand and maybe a hard case.

I just love this guitar. I was a lifelong Gibson user, but I gave my 1973 Les Paul to my son, who can make it sing. I’m older now and just wanted something to play around with. I saw your add online and then looked at some YouTube reviews. I decided to give one a try. I’m sure glad I did. Everyone was right, your guitars are well made, great value, and a pleasure to play. Everything you sent me was broken. The mini amp doesn't work even though it's charged and connected while the guitar itself has a rattling string and the pickguard already has damage. I don't think I'll be buying anything from you anytime soon.

I play acoustic most of the time. I like to play for my kids to help them wind down at night before bed... but have been wanting to mess around with power chords and grinding out some heavier rock.... The Donner came through like a champ. Seriously can't believe everything you get at this price. Excellent deal.

I bought this to modify . The neck and frets were good and only needed a polishing. I replaced the tuners pickups and nut . I also swapped out the tremblock with brass and installed roller bridge blocks. The pots I also changed with a obsidium wire kit . The paint was nice and I donated the amp and asseseries to good will . I would not hesitate to buy another one to mod .

Guitar is well made at this price point. You basically can't go wrong.

Very curious how this is priced so low when compared to other low budget axes. Very happy with the purchase. Neck was really impressive at this price point!!! Everyone should own one, it definitely exceed my expectation!

Wow I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of this guitar. It plays and sounds great. The tuners are fairly high quality for the price. The controls work very well. The only issue was the frets. They were sharp. It was easily fixed with a little filing, This is a great guitar for the price. The accessories that come with the package were pretty decent too. The little amp was very impressive. It’s not loud but it has a great sound and the distortion works great. A perfect guitar for the beginner, and just about anyone else. As I said the fret ends are slightly rough but a little sanding of the fret ends is an easy fix. Highly recommend this guitar.

I'm a beginner and have mostly practiced on an acoustic Yamaha and an epiphone Les Paul. It sounds good to me, I did lower the humbucker a bit.

High quality and affordable gear. For any level of playing. My DST-100 just needed a thin shim between the neck and body. Bolted back-up, tuned and played really well.

It looks great, and I bought it just for wall art. So it serves my needs well.

Super Strat for the price. Real playable, stays pretty much in tune if you don't work the whammy bar too hard. The little amp is fun, wouldn' take it out of the road, lol, but might busk with it one of these days. Stroke of genius making it USB charable, only thing you forgot was a belt clip to make it eminently buskable, lads.

The Box was all tore up when it arrived it was retaped and the coroner was missing The volume on the guitar is very low It's been trying to contact customer service with no response The guitar itself looks very nice

It plays as good as a fender. Looks and feels like one to. I'm well pleased with mine.

You get alot for your $. Not just the guitar, but the amp, and all the accessories. I took it to a store to have it set up, but it did not need it.

As with all my purchases from Donner, the customer experience has been flawless. If there is a better value for the money, I would be hard pressed to find it. The fit and finish on the body and neck of this guitar are far above expectations. As expected, the fret work and tuners are not great, but it is the only thing that can be critiqued as the rest of it is perfect. I intended to use this as an upgrade platform, so this serves as an excellent starting point. Donner continues to offer great products at a very low price.

I've been really happy with my Donner HSS strat-style guitar! I've been playing for decades and have owned classic US-made guitars from Fender, Gibson, Guild, Epiphone, and others. I've also built some guitars. I can't imagine a better value than the Donner DST-100R package. The guitar alone is worth the price, but to get a pretty heavy-duty gig bag, practice amp, good quality cable and strap, electronic tuner, capo, picks, and an extra string set (did I forget anything?) Is unbelievable. The quality and build of this particular guitar is so good that I can't find ANY fault with it. The fret job is about perfect and the finish is pretty flawless. It was even set up well, and I only have done minor height adjustments to suit my individual preferences. It holds its tuning as well or better than any expensive name guitar I've had. Of course as is always the case your mileage may vary. It has a nice fast and playable neck. The pickups aren't the most high-end (how could they be?) but they do a decent job, and I think a lot of people would no doubt be very satisfied with them. Everyone has their own ideal sound in mind. This is a great package for any electric guitar beginner, or even more advanced player, and a nice extra guitar or basis for modding by more experienced players.

This guitar played as well as a Fender Stratocaster. For the price and all the extras that you receive is frankly unbelievable!!! I love this guitar and glad to add to my collection, which is a acoustic Martin with a electric pick up and a 1963 Rickenbacker! I also had another Martin that I gave to my best friend and I also gave my son in law my Ovation. You give and you receive, that’s the way it works!! Everyone just love music and each other. This is a really good guitar package for a very fair price. It is better quality to other guitar packs I have tried. The guitar is nicely finished and plays well. The accessories are also a cut above entry level The guitar arrived well set up and sounds very "Stratty" so full marks there. There is no stand included (If you're getting a comprehensive package a stand would be nice) and there was a little bit of fret sprout on frets 15 and higher. Not a big deal and an easy fix but still... All in all a very good guitar and accessories package for a good price. A Bluetooth "aux in" circuit for the tiny but decent sounding amp would be a great addition and would make the package that much better

I Saw this while looking at Dominique's Instagram page and asked where I could get one, I couldn't believe the great price for all the items... I guess I did miss the sale, by a day or so where I think the Donner Electric Guitar, Case, Small Amp and all the other stuff was dropped from $150 ish to $99 or so, but hey, I felt like I got a great deal and Love the package - What a value for anyone that wants to have a nice looking and sounding Electric Guitar.. it's AWESOME!! Love it.. Now to toughen up the Fingers!! Lol!

Only needed a minor adjustment to the truss rod, otherwise tuned it up was perfectly playable right out of the box. Fret board is bound and frets are dressed. Quite happy with my purchase. The portable amp is icing on the cake as it's just loud enough for practice without a computer.

I purchased the DST-100W and am blown away by the quality at this price point. After watching several youtube reviews which were generally positive, I confess I was still skeptical. I prefer acoustic guitar but purchased this for a change of pace and am thoroughly impressed. For the beginner or intermediate player this guitar will not disappoint.

Very nice for the price! A great practice guitar and tons of value with the included tuner, strap, picks, capo and mini-amp! With a few small hardware upgrades, this can be a performance player! The finish is exceptional and proud to have as part of my guitar collection!

Product is great for the price, not disappointed whatsoever. I put a set of D'darrio strings on it and cleaned up the frets a bit. Now it plays like a dream. 10-10 recommend for new players.

I love my Donner DST-100electric guitar … while I wanted the white and cream color (it was sold out) I am extremely pleased with my black and white unit. Having everything I needed to get started playing made the purchase decision that much easier… you can believe all the online reviews by the professionals… this is a quality guitar at the most reasonable cost… I have not not second guessed my purchase at all… thank you Donner for offering such quality instruments at such affordable prices… I cannot recommend Donner Music highly enough!

This is a great guitar they call it a beginners guitar but it's far greater than that I swear this thing plays as good as my squire I have 7 Glarry Guitars but only one Donner but the Donner's are about to multiply now that I know what Donner's all about It's really a quality guitar.

Guitar arrived on time and had a fair amount of fret sprout but after I dressed the frets and polished them it plays great and has spent the last week as the guitar lm using regularly not bad for a budget guitar.

I ordered the blue, you sent yellow. The screw on the bridge pick up fell out when I picked up the guitar.

Great guitar to start out with! You really get everything to start including a capo and a padded bag. The neck was dry so needed an oil up and the humbucker was much louder than the single coils so an adjustment was needed but otherwise it's a solid, gig-ready guitar.

This is the perfect beginner Strat style guitar! I picked it up on sale and could not be happier. I just put new strings on and adjusted the intonation and it sound like a guitar three times more than what I paid for it…. Definitely recommend for beginners and intermediates alike!

After much research of various brands & options, I bought this for my grandson (age 10) after watching the YouTube review by Darrell Braun Guitar. After receiving it, it truly was just as Darrell described it. In short, I was blown away by the quality & tone (rivaling my Fender Player Strat) and all of the accessories. I know one boy who will have a very memorable Christmas this year. Thanks Donner!

The fit and finish of the guitar are surprisingly nice for the price. The neck has a smooth satin feel and overall it plays rather nicely. The pickups aren’t bad for the price either - the bridge humbucker is full but cuts well and sounds especially good with overdrive/distortion (skip to 2:05 in my demo for an example). The tuners aren’t the greatest, but they get the job done and could easily be replaced in the future. Overall for a strat-style guitar with the accessories that are included, at this price range it’s a great value with pretty good quality! I recorded a demo playing straight into the included amp with no effects and recorded using the “headphone out” feature of the amp.

I order the black version of this guitar from their site, after Amazon sent one with a broken neck. Luckily this one came in much better shape but was missing all the starter items minus the gig bag. I reached out to Facebook and got ignored. I reached out vie email and was told to look for the missing items. I can assure you I have looked everywhere. I have not received a response since I sent my reply. I was going to wait on this review till after this issue might be resolved but after waiting a while with no response I figured guess I have to leave one now. I figured maybe I could get a whammy bar at least but so far just plain old ignored. I'm happy to get a guitar that's not broken. Just didn't get any of the nice starter accessories to help learn and maintain it. I had to order some parts and go to a store to get the accessories I was missing. I paid a lot more than I was expecting to pay to get into learning electric guitar. Hard to enjoy an electric without least one pick, cable and amp. Still waiting on the whammy bar. I do say Amazon has an easy and great return process. The customer service here from this site seems spotty. I don't know if my emails or messages got lost or completely ignored. I do say nice guitar but God help you if your missing anything and you need help from customer service. At this point I'm willing to accept the loss and take the win on getting a guitar that works. I'm hesitant to buy peddles at this point or another guitar. I'd love too but fear the same luck I've had between guitar center, amazon and donnerdeal.com. If I get a response and this gets resolved I will for sure update this review. I understand they might be super busy and can only hope for answer on the missing items other than look harder. I wasn't even given the option to return the item so I'm assuming I'm suppose to take the loss.

I took a guitar class back in college, so I am by no means a pro, but my elementary aged son has been dying to play the electric guitar. We started him off with a super old regular hand me down guitar to see if he would keep his interest. He watches videos to teach him how to play on prime, and loves it!
