Amazed by this kit. So much bang for your buck. I don't find the crash symbol or hi hat pedal as responsive as I'd like, but for someone like me who's just playing for a fun hobby, I absolutely recommend.

Bought it for my partner to replace his old cheap drum set. He absolutely loves it and plays daily! Says it feels much more like a real drum set

Worth it, great set

The kit is well made but i find the drum samples in the loaded kits all need tweaking to get the most out of the sounds so just using the classic kit I spent time on all the sounds on pitch .volume and trigger and now it plays and sounds like a real acoustic kit

It's a great kit, feels premium, full of features, and I love playing on it.
The only thing I would love is to have better samples, I use a VST to get more realistic drum sounds, but I would love if they were already available on the kit., dont get me wrong, the ones included are great, but once you use a VST you know there is room for improvement
Not sure what is the business reason for all e-drum manufacturers to include average samples instead of the high quality ones you find through VST

Good kit... Sadly they don't sell extension kit, tom and crash 2... They told me to go check in some store if something can fit, so they don't produce extra hardware for this kit be aware!!!

I wanted e-drums for a LONG time but I also wanted them to fit my visual preference. These drums are exactly what I wanted. A good price point, really nice mesh drumheads and an awesome module with more kits than I will ever use. if you are on the fence, try this one - you'll be pleased. Might be too much drum kit for a beginner.

Set up was ez. Clamps and mounts open collapsible for quick setup and adjustment. Module is done right. Love this kit.

I am extremely satisfied with this drum set, feels and looks expensive but is not, you are buying something incredible good, I used to have the Alexis Surge and the Donner 200 they are good for a beginner like me, but if you can pay more you can have something much better, this is the one, I love that you can control the volume of each drum and cymbals so you can adjust the volume of the music on your computer or I phone in relation to your drums, many many different sounds to choose from, The 15 songs, are not the best, but there are many programs and apps that you can follow on the internet or use Spotify or any streaming app to play your favorite songs, the drums looks like real acoustic drums on the side, two zone cymbals, 3 zones drum surface, very strong and heavy frame, so when you play don’t have a frame that move to much like the less expensive one, 3 different volume controls knobs and much more, like a said, is more expensive that the one that mentioned before but you get what you pay for, in general I recommend this set for beginners to intermediate drummers, very satisfied, I recommend this 100%.

At first I didn't trust the sound of this drum very much, but with use and its different kits and sounds, the truth is that I am very comfortable and satisfied with it. I highly recommend it, apart from having an elegant design, it has an excellent sound that you can do yourself. configure and build your own kit, the advantage of its Bluetooth and its integrated mixer are a great tool. Highly recommended.

The Donner DED-500 is a well featured entry level drum kit. Be warned; if you have watched the plethora of DED-200 reviews on YouTube, and expect the 500 series kits to come with all the same basic equipment, but just with bigger and better drums, you're going to be a little disappointed. The DED-500 does not come with a throne, or headphones, or any extra cymbal/pad cables/hardware. Additionally, only the DED-500P comes with the two piece hi-hat. Again, if you did not know this due to a shortage of reviews for the higher end product, and from the differing images on the sales website, you'll likely be disappointed when there is no hi-hat stand or 2pc cymbal.
If you understand what you're getting;
DED-500:
1x Drum Module 4x 10" dual zone drums, 3x 12" dual zone chokeable cymbals with posts, a floating hi-hat pedal, kick pedal and kick pad, 1 set wooden tip 5A drumsticks, 1x cable snake, frame, 5x adjustable mounting brackets. Thats it.
I believe the 500-P Kit (pro) swaps one of the 12" cymbals+post+mount with a two piece hi-hat and stand, but I am unsure as I mistakenly purchased the standard kit.
The module does have expandability to add an extra dual zone cymbal and an extra dual zone tom, but these, and all extra attaching hardware/cables, must be sourced and purchased separately. Also, if you hook up a cymbal to the extra tom input (or tom into extra cymbal) you loose the dual zone capability for that input. there is no way to reassign the type of input in settings as a tom or cymbal style pad. you can only adjust the sounds that are triggered on those inputs.
For the hi-hat, If you're like me, and bought the 'wrong' kit, you can still use most analog two piece hi-hats with this module; there is a settings menu for the hi-hat pedal options.

The DED-500 is currently Donner's top of the line electronic drum set that is more budget friendly than other higher end e-kits. The kit is simple to set up with everything needed to put it together is in the box. This kit is a nice upgrade from other Donner E-kits including 10" dual zone drum pads all with nice looking drum shells, included hi hat stand and hi hat pads for realistic playing, a solid kick drum pedal, dual zone cymbal pads with the ability to choke, and a large bank of sounds, kits, and demo songs. Being able to customize your sound on the drum module is a huge plus and there is even room to add an additional tom and cymbal to the setup. This is a cool kit that is fun to play, enjoy!
