Exactly what I wanted. It sounds great and replicates the overall feel of a kit, just in miniature. The ports on the back are unfortunately very hard to read being black lettering on a black background. A little white lettering here would have been a big help.

Build quality of this set is nice, pads are bouncy, cymbals are a bit unique to get used to but they're fully adjustable and have good sensitivity to them. As someone who has played a bit of drums before, they're certainly not a 1:1 experience (as with most electric kits), but they're capable of some amazing sounds and they're a great tool to learn rhythm and wet your feet with drums a bit with a much lower price point and a VERY portable size.<br /><br />Pros:<br />-Portability is unmatched, entire thing fits in a case, if you get a collapsible snare stand + usb power bank you can play anywhere.<br />-The built-in banks/demos give you a lot to play with as a starting point<br />-Every individual item is of good quality, sticks are good, cymbals are well made, pads themselves are bouncy and responsive<br />-App that is provided by Donner has some nice tutorials on it for learners<br />-Works fine set on a table, but also fits perfectly onto a snare stand and is much more natural feeling on that.<br />-MIDI hookup is fantastic, got immediately picked up by my DAW and you can assign any sound you want or just play a pattern. Fantastic for any digital producer that wants some handplayed drums with the natural slightly off-pace result you get.<br />-Sounds good straight plugged into headphones or an amp<br /><br />Cons:<br />-No built-in speakers (i personally wouldn't use them but want to be objective)<br />-Increasing the cost by $20-30 and including a collapsible snare stand would help those w/o one a LOT<br />-Plastic housing will probably end up getting dinged quite a bit with full wood sticks (tips help!)<br /><br />Overall this is a fantastic learners kit or a great portable option for someone that doesn't have the space to dedicate to a full set, or someone who travels between locations and again doesn't want to haul around a full set. Would also be a nice, inexpensive option to add to a producers setup, i much prefer this over finger pads despite more experience with them.

Kind of between toy and instrument. I got it for jam use so I didn't have to schlep much equipment.
I adjusted some individual pad volumes for balance. Hooked up to a decent amp sounds adequate for the price.
The drumkit layout and elevated cymbal pads make ergonomic sense.
I use lightweight wooden drum sticks with additional rubber tips for the occasional mis hit onto plastic parts.
As with most edrums, the high-hat is the weakest link.
Get used to "burying the beater" when using kick pedal as it's easy to accidentally misfire with your foot held in the air.

Don’t let the small size fool ya. This ain’t no toy. This is a real set of electronic drums with the same layout as a five piece set of acoustic drums. I needed drums in my little home studio so I wouldn’t have to keep depending on my Beat Buddy Mini, but my space is too limited for a full size set so I had to settle for something much smaller. Enter this little gem. The 15 built in kits are very usable but connecting to my computer and my Bigwig Producer software opened up a whole new world. Inside Bitwig you can choose from a lot more kits and you have complete control over what each pad does. You can even control the velocity curve and volume of each pad and cymbal individually. My only complaint is the they are single zone pads. But I can live with that. I am very impressed with these e drums and would definitely recommend them. Well done Donner!

Bought this as a gift for my grandchildren age 9 and 12. After some confusion about the power supply ( my question was amply answered by your Customer Service team) , it is now in use and proving to be a fun and versatile instrument. I'd like to keep it for myself! It's lightweight and compact, simple to set up, and possibly less cumbersome in a restricted space than separate drums.

As a beginner pianist, I was looking to get more familiar with rhythm (rather than becoming a drummer) and with limited space the beat go seemed ideal. My initial experience of just over a week with the beat go has allowed me to learn and play a basic rock beat. The great thing is I can do this to a backing track from the iPad very easily. The sound quality through headphones is excellent. All around I am super impressed with this and seems to be just what I need at the moment. Excellent value

The Donner Beats Go electronic drum kit is supplied in a travel bag containing a decent pair of sticks a drum key, a usb cable, 2 foot pedals and 3 cymbal blocks with brackets.
This electronic drum kit doesn’t come with a power supply as the instructions lead you to think (usb c or power bank required) and it requires an external amplifier or headphones to hear anything, it’s not a toy!
The mesh drum pads respond and feel very strike sensitive. The cymbals look quite odd and the foot pedals only need light touches to respond.
It has a selection of built in kits to play, a kick beat which you can change tempo also a selection of electronic tunes to play along with. On the rear panel there is also a usb connection where it could be connected to midi to expand its use.
This is a great compact travel electronic drum kit that feels and plays well. It’s not a toy and it’s ideal for home studio, travel or practising without annoying the neighbours!

Really compact with quite good sound and features for the price. The storage bag is a nice bonus that makes putting it out of the way when not in use easy.

My kid loves it, and I do too. It would be even better if they added a built-in speaker to the model. Overall, it's a fantastic drum set!
