I am really happy with the purchase of this piano. I was on the fence for a long time, having learned on, grown up with and had my experiences with acoustic pianos. Classically trained and used to be forced to participate in recitals and competitions, which I did not really enjoy. Now I'm grown and had been away from any the piano for 30 years! I really wanted to get back into what I liked about playing. Just for me or captive friends... I had a truncated electric keyboard I received as a gift from someone who isn't a player. Well meaning, but horrible! I didn't like the fakeness of it, the electronic sounds, the fact that it wasn't 88 keys, etc. So I was nervous about this being that kind of experience. The first thing that warmed my heart about this was that depending on how hard or soft you strike a key, the note will be correspondingly loud or soft. So you can play with some feeling, convey a mood!! Crescendo effectively! I find the tones to be rich, warm and decidedly "piano" and not "keyboard". I appreciate that very much! Solid, won't require annual tuning, etc. Beautiful and sleek, not taking up a lot of space. The only thing that I am not entirely happy with is the sustain pedal. Mine needs to be depressed really hard for the desired effect and sometimes doesn't catch certain notes, making it sound clipped and harsh just when you are going for smooth and lingering. Not a huge deal, I'm not giving concerts, but worth mentioning. Yet and still, I love it and am enjoying this instrument thoroughly!

It is beyond me to understand why no other brand makes a digital piano that looks good in your home. But here we are. Your choices are Shiny black, shiny white, or black. Sorry, but Donner completely wins this one for me. This piano is simply beautifully designed. HUGE compliments to the design team. the fake wood grain is nearly convincing even up close, and the color is well done. Mechanically, I asked a concert pianist to play it and he had noting but positive things to say. They did a great job with the keys, they feel and respond like a mid-range decent piano. Donner was smart and saved money by only loading ONE piano sample in here - that's right, you don't get to chose from 100 sounds you'll never use. Not even different piano types. Just one. One well sampled good sounding piano. Like a real piano. Last thing I REALLY love about this piano is that they hid all the controls on the back of the piano. so you buttons, no lights. Like a real piano, except it never goes out of tune. Ever. And the price is fantastic for what you get.

I just got this today… so excited to start playing the piano again. I was worried because a few reviews in amazon showed that some keys were not producing sound. So, I watched professional reviews in youtube and I found the reassurance I needed. Even professional pianists were happy with it…that was the deal breaker.. I bought this because I wanted a fully weighted digital piano that will blend with my home furniture.. and this was perfect! My old one was a Korg with a traditional black casing which was very out of place. It does not come with a dust cover, so I suggest you get one. Today is day 1 of me playing with it. I will update this review if I encounter any issues. Hope this helps..

Great sound. There’s a volume dial but I really think it only has two levels of noise. Not a problem anyway because there’s a headphone jack - just make sure you get a dongle because the 6.35 mm plug in requires a dongle connector for an aux cord (As a beginner, I didn’t know this).
Sound in the headphones is just as good. If I could do it again, I wouldn’t have gotten the bench because I later learned the bench should be specific to my height. Also, just wish the cord connecting the foot pedals wasn’t hanging at the back of the piano.

The piano is great and works as expected. It is a bit hard to get low volume with the non behind the piano.
It was slow to arrive. We ordered late at night, around 11pm and the email confirmation stated that our expected delivery was between that date and a date several weeks ahead?! So they would have packed and shipped to our door within 1 hour??
Also, we were expecting a wood body. I guess the low price says it all, and we were not especially disappointed, as long as it looks good in our place. But the description definitely says wooden body and plastic keyboard. So what I’d considered the “body”? The keyboard is definitely resting on some kind of engineered wood board, but I hardly doubt that is enough to label it a wood body. Maybe I am misunderstanding what they are referring to with the body.
Sheet music stand is low.
The sound is good. And it looks good and is comfortable to play

I gave this as a Christmas gift to my wife. Having unpacked it and put it together just this morning. She loves it!
She had been wanting an 88 weighted key piano. This I believe is considered a digital piano. What I liked and what I know she wanted was something that had the feel and sound of a piano without all the unnecessary “other” sounds such as spaceship settings and buttons.
Having heard her play it already and trying out the keys for myself, I understand what she meant by weighted keys and it sounds much more like a real piano compared to the keyboard we had.
Although it has the wood look it is plastic or some sort of composite, but for the price the look is nicer than the previous keyboard by a mile.
She is happy and therefore I am happy. I would recommend this for sure.

This piano is great for a smaller space - very discreet and elegant looking and blends in well with the other wood in the room (matches well with pine especially).
The sound quality is really nice and the pedals work great. Please note it's a piano only - no other instruments / demo's etc are available to my knowledge.

Love the look of this piano. The weighted keys makes it feel a lot more like an acoustic piano. The only negative at this point is the sound quality when using the speakers. Sounds a bit boxy, like there's something covering the speakers. Also not quite as loud as I was expecting.

I started learning the piano back in the early 1980s at the age of 8 and by the time I was 24 had reached Grade 7. I hadn’t touched a piano in 25 years due to having no room in the house and wanted to take it up again. I was nervous to start with that the Donner DDP-80 would have the feel of a real piano but having now played it I need not have worried. The feel is exactly as I remember my old acoustic piano used to be. I may be incredibly rusty but I really am loving re visiting the pieces I used to play as a teenager/young adult. The tone of the DDP-80 is incredible. When I told my wife I wanted to buy a digital piano she was very sceptical that the it would sound like a real on but she was amazed when I started to play it at how good it really is. The DDP-80 also looks amazing in my new music room.

I am in love with my new keyboard. I waited almost a year to find a PERFECT gift from my family for my 30th birthday. I finally found this beautiful keyboard with weighted keys. It arrived in 4 days and I have been playing almost non-stop since then! I am not a professional player but a relatively advanced amateur. I am very pleased with the sound, the feel of the keys and with the aesthetics. If I had one complain is that the sustain pedal seems a bit off, it works but not as noticeable as with accoustic pianos. But it's something that for an advanced amateur doesn't affect my experience much. 100% recommend it!

Love playing this piano. Chose this one because my space is limited and the speakers are loud. Good sound quality and keys feel like an acoustic piano. Not overloaded with features that you will never use. I cover the keys with a lightweight scarf when not in use. Good value for the price and looks nice too. Very pleased. I recommend.

Our family of beginner players love this cute little addition. I like that it doesn’t take up much space but fits in well in our living room.
The low volume doesn’t go very low. And I’ve had once instance when the piano just stopped making noise. I unplugged and replugged and it worked fine again. Hopefully not a sign of unreliable sound and just a glitch!

The piano has excellent piano-sonority. The sonority is modulable from light to strong (pianissimo to forte); very sensitive keys. As a piece of furniture, it looks nice as well. I'm a beginner who lives in a small city apartment. Floor space is very valuable, I didn't want anything I purchased to be an eyesore, as all my belongings are pretty much constantly on display. This is a BEAUTIFUL keyboard, and the closest thing to a piano I can get in here without troubling my neighbours - but also, it really does just feel like a piano!
It was a very fair price, and honestly a great find as I found nothing similar out there on the market (closest alternatives I found cost thousands of dollars, and are stands not actual wooden keyboards). In short.. I regret nothing!
MINOR ISSUE: My keyboard arrived damaged from transit. The team were quick to respond, and figured out a solution for me right away. I decided to keep the keyboard at a discount as the damage was surface level. Everything else works perfectly. I could have received a replacement on request.

This is an awesome keyboard for adults wanting to pick back up piano. The weighted keys feel more like a piano than a keyboard, and it’s sound is great. You can plug it into devices to take virtual lessons, and if you prefer privacy like I do- you can use headphones! Style is perfect and the veneer is really good quality.

This is a nice instrument for the money—a good value. I like the feel of the keys and the sound is good. My one main dislike at this point is that the sustain pedal doesn’t really seem like a real piano and doesn’t sustain as well as I had hoped. I am enjoying using it to practice and like that I can use my headset to not disturb my husband. I can’t really compare it to much more expensive keyboards, but it suits my purpose. The appearance is nice.

I've had this for about 3 weeks now and I'm still in love with it. It was easy and straightforward to assemble, and it feels super sturdy. The sound is great and the keys feel like a real acoustic piano. Specifically, the black keys have this subtle matte and non-slippery feel compared to other pianos/keyboards I've played on.
Overall, it's everything I wanted; mimics the feel and sound of an acoustic piano, doesn't have the extra buttons, beats, sounds/samples that I never use, and is not sore to look at in my living room. I play it for multiple hours a day every day and have had no issues and I get excited every time I sit to play.

Rather than move my console traditional piano across country again (hard on the piano and my finances), I decided to see if a digital piano was a good alternative. Our holiday gift to ourselves was the Donner-80 Digital piano which arrived promptly and well packed. The instructions are simple and assembly was remarkably trouble free. (You need a Phillips head screwdriver to attach legs to keyboard base; the separate bench came with an appropriate tool). We love the sound and the action on the keyboard. We do plan to ask a quilter friend to fashion a keyboard cover to protect from dust. Great job, Donner!

The piano itself is very nice in person and seems to be made fairly well. The sound quality is good. I bought this piano as a Christmas gift but was very disappointed with the return policy. Donner should reevaluate that policy given the nature of their products and the crazy timing of shipping around the holidays. I went ahead and purchased the product but had to rush the gift-giving "in-case" there was an issue with the piano.

I ordered this beautiful piano because of space constraints. I needed something small and simple (light weight). It is perfect! It was packaged very well and it was easy to assemble. I absolutely love it and in all honesty the price is so fair for the quality of what you’re getting. I would highly recommend this to anyone on a budget and lacking space. There are a lot of great demos and reviews on YouTube if you’re not totally convinced if this is for you. I have zero regrets!
